the 9-5, confessions, and the weekend.

DUDES, I am alive!

I made it through my first week back at the 9-5. The week got progressively more stressful, but I made it and I think over time I will get use to all the personality quirks. It's a family run business and they tend to react to stress instead of accessing the problem first. I have a hard time with that because it is not a very Zen approach to problem solving and I am all about keeping calm in the workplace.

I do have my own office however, and I have turned it into a little sanctuary. Occasionally someone will just come and sit in on of the chairs to collect themselves-- I'm glad to bring a calm energy to the joint.

The best part about working is getting a paycheck.. so I got my nails done, took my guy out for dinner, and after I clean the house today I am treating myself to a couple of new work attire items-- none of my pants fit me. Hallelujah amen. I can't believe I got SO big.

Now onto the confession-- I had a really hard time adjusting to a new work schedule, getting my work outs in and keeping up house, SO I am going to restart my running schedule this week. (The extensive one I posted a few days ago) I only made it to the gym twice-- not good. I was SO tired. BUT after this week, not more excuses-- even if that means gym first then work.

Now onto the weekend. SO today is for cleaning-- a week of dust is making my allergies go NUTS & there is nothing I love more than a clean casa. Tomorrow I plan on relaxing all day in the sun.

OKAY, now for cleaning. hope all is well in your world.

Namaste,

  1. It always takes a while to get a workout routine down with a full-time gig I think... But, over time, as the job becomes more familiar to you, it gets easier to fit other things into your week.

    Glad you made it through!

  2. Glad work is going well for you for the most part! After working from home I think it'd be really touch for me to get back into the swing of things in an office, but I assume I'll end up back at it someday. Wishing you all the best love!

  4. Glad that the new job is going well. I'd like a regular paycheck. I run my own little ebay business and I never know what I'm going to make.
