Best friends Wedding weekend.

I spent this past weekend with my best friend as her maid of honor, and it was a lot of fun and a lot of work, but mostly it was lots of fun!

I was really surprised at how emotional I was all weekend, must have been the moon!

Isn't that an awesome shot? I really enjoyed the photographers-- they were a husband and wife team (something R and I have considered doing as well) and a lot of fun to work with, I can't wait to see the rest of the shots!

Courtney & Jason got married at the Orlando Science Center, probably one of my favorite places in Orlando-- and the wedding was a blast.

The days leading up to the wedding were spent doing "girl things" and meeting, greeting, eating and drinking. Court is loved by so many people, it made me feel really special to be her MOH.

I was really disappointed with myself for screwing up the MOH speech as badly as I did. I literally got up there and freaked. I couldn't remember ANYthing I was going to say, and I even spilled RED wine on the bride! (Thank you Shout wipes!) It was bad and embarrassing.

I am seriously way more awkward than I give myself credit for, and I am still really hoping all of her friends were too drunk to remember what a catastrophe my speech was!

R was really supportive this weekend, and went out of his way so many times to make sure my life was as stress free as possible, and he even treated me to an awesome hair cut!

My fiance is the most incredible human on the planet.

I am sure I will have some more pictures to share soon (I was so busy I didn't take ANY!) that will speak for themselves. For now I will just say that I am glad I made it through the weekend alive, and it really was an honor to stand next to Courtney on her special day.

Namaste!

  3. Beautiful photograph! I'm sure nobody minds that you flubbed the speech; weddings as a social occasion are really draining. So is public speaking. Add a touch of alcohol to the mix, and you have a recipe for nervousness. All things considered, I bet you handled yourself well under fire! Giving the MOH speech is a huge honor, but it's also a lot of pressure.
