Rainbow Airplanes!

Oh my friends, I made a fatal mistake. I woke up to so many amazing comments waiting for moderation this morning, and guess what.. I accidentally deleted all of them. Who does that!?

That's what I get for trying to function without coffee.

So if you don't see your comment published, that is why-- But I did get to at least read all of them before I deleted, so at least you didn't completely waste your time.

Last night we hung out with some of R's work friends for a little while, and we spent a great deal of our time looking for images like this:

This one is over Hyde Park in Chicago; Some of R's coworkers use to live in Chicago, and so did I, so we were discussing all the neighborhoods, when this airplane came into conversation.  We're thinking {and others online have speculated} the "rainbow" is from the camera taking the RGB spectrum at separate times. Since the plane is in motion (and so is the earth), you then get this effect!

Cool right?

Bushwick, NY

Seattle, WA

South Carolina

Baltimore, MD

Englewood Cliffs, NJ

These are all from Google Earth/Google Maps, crazy right?

It's the little things in life that have me excited!

And also, thanks to all of you who left such great comments about the "It's time" video, it's such an important issue that doesn't always get positive attention. {This is why I was doubly sad to have accidentally deleted comments, I am such a doofus sometimes!}

Namaste!

Friday Faves: A happy garden and some happy nails.

Okay- I love the nail decor fad that's happening.

I'm not really one to give fashion advice-- mostly because I've been wearing the same crap since I was 20 and anything I think looks cute or fashionable probably makes me a great candidate for the TLC show What Not To Wear-- you know us weird, arty, nerdy/hippie chicks, we always look quirky, but not always in a good way. ha. I know I am not alone.

Anyway, while I am keeping my wardrobe low-key, I've been having fun playing with my nails. I've done a few designs and keep getting complemented by people whom I have deemed appropriate even fashionable dressers, so I thought I'd start showing off my nails since I've been having so much fun, and I don't mind the ego stroke.

OPI Nail Polish You Don't Know Jacques! as the base (My fave color for the past 3 months btw) and I have some nail polish pens from a few Christmas' ago that I used for the details.

And now, my Happy Garden.

...and I've been soaking some clippings from my one of my Ficus Trees for about a month now & this is what is happening...

Cool right?
I do this with all of my plants, and then give them to friends or repopulate my own garden.

Once I get some more roots on this guy, I'm going to put him in some soil and prep him for a new home.
I am giving LIFE to my loved ones this holiday season in form of my sweet plants offspring.
I love my plants.

Tending to my garden is right next to playing with cats/kittens with a laser pointer
on my Favorite Things To Do list..

Anyway nature is cool, and so are you.

FnC, Beach'n bike rides, and boba. oh my.

R and I went back to the ole Pig and Whistle yesterday for round two of Fish N' Chips.

Then we took the cruisers on the beach and went for a ride.

Can you believe that we have both lived in Florida our entire lives (with the exception of my 4 years in Chicago) and neither one of us have gone on a Beach'n Bike ride?

It was probably the most glorious thing we could have done yesterday.

We rode for an hour, and then hit up a little Asian run ice cream shop for some Boba Tea and then hung out at The Dinosaur Store (EEEEK!) whilst we sipped our boba.

Have you ever had Boba? I didn't like it the first time I tried it, now I'm a huge fan.
My favorite flavor is avocado-almond. Yesterday I had the green tea latte.

What is Boba you ask? Essentially its a tapioca pearl-- a chewy, very mild flavored little surprise in your drink. Looks something like this:
Most of the time the drink is pretty filling too, so it's a great snack!
I have zero intention of finding out how many calories I consume while enjoying this drink.
Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.

Then we came home and ordered a Hawaiian pizza (another fave!), watched a storm roll in and ended the night with a little Iron Chef.
I'm out of coffee, so that's a great excuse to hit up starbucks on the way to the beach for round II!

I hope everyone is having a beautiful and safe weekend!
